  • What are you most looking forward to in your residency program? I am looking forward to being a part of the residency program, working, and training in a friendly environment, and grooming my leadership and clinical skills as a resident so that I can become an outstanding physician. 
  • A fun fact about yourself: I enjoy watching movies and television serials, playing cricket with my friends, and singing.

  • What are you most looking forward to in your residency program? I am looking forward to learning and training with the amazing faculty, so that I can become a well-trained and confident physician by the end of my two years of training.
  • A fun fact about yourself: I can do live portraits in a few minutes, and I am trained in Body Combat.

  • A fun fact about yourself: I Love water adventures like kayaking and parasailing even though I don’t know how to swim.

Sana Badar, MD

Sana Badar

  • What are you most looking forward to in your residency program? I look forward to working under strong leadership and dedicated physicians at Willis-Knighton Health System, who will guide me to become a good physician while helping me to develop my research skills and advance my goals to be a physician scientist.
  • A fun fact about yourself: I love flying and I am taking lessons in order to get my private pilot license.

I am beyond excited for the opportunity to collaborate closely with other residents who have similar passions and interests and be a part of a program that is invested in caring for vulnerable and underserved communities. I am eager to begin the full spectrum of internal medicine training, building relationships with patients, making new friends, and learning from the faculty.

  • What are you most looking forward to in your residency program? My expectations of residency are to learn the core principles of Internal Medicine, identify my unique aptitudes to determine the specialty I should pursue.
  • A fun fact about yourself: I love reading mystery novels and enjoy watching anime. “One Piece” is my favorite anime. I also like to travel, explore new places, and take photographs.

  • What are you most looking forward to in your residency program? I am looking forward to starting a new chapter in my life in a beautiful city and training at a prestigious hospital while striving to gain professional growth while collaborating with my co-residents from diverse cultures.  It also gives me the opportunity to explore new things and strive towards my future goals while serving the patients and community in any way possible.
  • A fun fact about yourself: I come from a family of doctors and was exposed to medicine at an early age in addition to being active in sports.  Many of my family members were represented at state and national levels in various sports.  My family encouraged me to swim, and I excelled in my sport.  I am a national record holder, and my greatest achievement is being able to represent India in Asian games, in Tokyo and commonwealth trials.  I enjoy exploring new things, traveling, and being a movie buff.

Fun Fact about yourself: I have OCD in organizing stuff. Besides that, I find pleasure in pleasing my palate with different foods, strolling around with my husband, playing strategic puzzles/games and spending time with my family.

What are you most looking forward to in your residency program? I am looking forward to working alongside talented Willis-Knighton Physicians and faculty, advocating for my patients in hopes of bettering the Shreveport community, and continually progressing in my medical profession and becoming he doctor I have dreamed of becoming.

Fun Fact about yourself: I am Filipino-American, but I was born in Nigeria, Africa. I love working with my hands and enjoy keeping regular maintenance of my truck and electronics. I grew up in Long Beach, California, but the south has been great to me, especially the food. I hope to keep my A1C below 5.7
