Caroline Caperton, MD

Core Faculty

Caroline Caperton, MD, MSPH is a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana. She obtained her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Miami, where she also earned her Master of Science in Public Health while working in research for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and serving as the President of the Graduate Student Association. She graduated from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine with Research Distinction, where her focus was on contact dermatitis, transdermal delivery of large molecules, and the role of coenzyme CoQ10 in inducing apoptosis in cancer cell lines. Dr. Caperton completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital - Miami Veterans Affairs - University of Miami Health System in Miami, FL before completing her fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at the University of California, Irvine.

She has published extensively within the fields of allergy, immunology, internal medicine, and dermatology, and has presented her findings at national professional conferences and meetings. She recently was an invited faculty speaker at the annual conference of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology. She also maintains active memberships in the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology. She delights in caring for her children, teen, and adult patients, helping them to understand their conditions, listening to and addressing their concerns, and working together to improve their overall health and well-being.
