Dr. Donnie Aultman, MD graduated from the University of Alabama Birmingham Medical School. He studied general surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport followed by Fellowship in Transplantation Surgery. Dr. Aultman has also completed a Fellowship in Pancreatic Surgery at the University of Minnesota. Returning to Shreveport, he taught at transplantation at the LSU Health Science Center while performing Endocrine Surgery at both LSU Health Science Center and Willis-Knighton Medical Center. Dr. Aultman was appointed to the role of Designated Institutional Official for Willis-Knighton Health System’s new GME programs in 2020.
Dr. Aultman is Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and the Surgical Association of Louisiana. He is also a member of both the Shreveport and Louisiana State Medical Societies.
He has published or co-authored numerous articles on surgical procedures in such publications as “American Journal of Kidney Diseases” and “Journal of American College of Surgeons”. Dr. Aultman, along with his colleagues at the Advanced Surgery Center, has spoken at numerous surgical and medical conferences through the United States.
