Julie A. Cupp, MD, FACS

Program Faculty (Breast Disease/Surgery)

Dr. Cupp received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, La. She completed an internship/residency in General Surgery as well as a research fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Her breast surgical oncology sub-specialization was completed at the University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, one of the leading cancer institutes in the United States.

Dr. Cupp specializes in the surgical treatment of benign and malignant breast diseases. She performs oncoplastic surgery, including lumpectomies and skin sparing and nipple sparing mastectomies. She also performs needle core biopsies, breast ultrasounds, infusaport placements, genetic testing and counseling, and coordinates with radiation oncologists to treat breast cancer using accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI).
