Thank you for your interest in applying to the Willis Knighton Health /Claiborne Memorial Medical Center Rural Family Medicine Residency Program! Our program received initial accreditation at the April 2025 meeting of the ACGME Family Medicine Review Committee and is now actively recruiting for our inaugural cohort. Interested applicants should send the following to FMresidency@wkhs.com.

  • Personal Statement
  • Three Letters of Recommendation
  • USMLE and/or COMLEX Transcripts

Applicants are selected for interviews after a thorough, holistic review of their qualifications. We do not accept any walk-in appointments or requests for interviews.

Interview Season

Our program will be conducting interviews starting April 2025. Interview invitations are sent to selected candidates via email. An applicant invited to interview for a resident/fellow position will be informed, in writing or by electronic means, of the terms, conditions, and benefits of appointment to the ACGME-accredited program, either in effect at the time of the interview or that will be in effect at the time of his or her eventual appointment. The information provided to applicants will include annual stipend, vacations, leaves of absence, professional liability, health, disability, and other insurance accessible.
